Er ist Verteidiger im Eishockeyteam der Akademie – ein bekannter Spieler auf und neben dem Eis.
Es ist ein Ruf, den er mit Stolz trägt und sogar zur Schau stellt. Der Einzige, auf den er achten muss, ist er selbst. Niemand erwartet etwas anderes.
Aufgrund früherer Fehler habe ich eine Menge Verantwortung außerhalb der Akademie und habe keine andere Wahl, als andere in meinem Leben an die erste Stelle zu setzen. Sie zählen auf mich, aber weißt du was? Ich bin einsam.
Ich schätze, das ist der Grund, warum ich mich in den Kerl verliebt habe, dessen einziger Fokus auf Hockey – und Spaß – liegt.
Was ich jedoch nicht vorgehabt hatte, war, mich Hals über Kopf in den Spieler zu verlieben, der nur eines von mir wollte. Können Sie sagen, ob das dort schon geschehen ist?
Aber ich denke, hinter all dem steckt viel mehr in ihm, als er selbst weiß, und vielleicht sind seine Entscheidungen nicht seine eigenen. Vielleicht hat jemand anders die Fäden in der Hand.
Wie dem auch sei, wenn mich die Fehler der Vergangenheit wieder einholen, muss der größte Spieler des Teams entscheiden, ob er dem für ihn vorgezeichneten Weg folgt und sich von mir entfernt, oder ob er seine eigene Zukunft gestaltet und der Mann wird, den er gut versteckt hält.

1. Shortly after completing your purchase, you will get an email with the subject “Hey there, your book has arrived.”
2. Open the email and click the link to download your copy.
3. The link will take you to BookFunnel, the book delivery platform. Once you are at the BookFunnel page, click “Get My Book.”
4. Select the type of device
on which you would like to read the book and follow the step-by-step
instructions for downloading to your specific device.
In case you run into any trouble
during the download process, you can click on the 'NEED HELP?' icon in
the upper right-hand corner of the download page. Or, if you'd prefer,
you can send a quick note to help@bookfunnel.com. Either way, a real human will help you get your book onto your reader so you can start enjoying the story!

All digital goods, such as eBooks are non-refundable because they are considered consumable products. Once you have read the book, you have consumed it. Our books are available via libraries. Librarians can order the book for you upon request. As such, we do not offer returns on eBooks. We also do not offer returns on audiobooks because they are also consumable digital goods. Once you have listened to the audiobook, you have consumed it.
We offer returns only if a print book arrives defective and will work with you to obtain a replacement if you contact us within 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. A $10 flat rate return shipping fee may apply in certain circumstances, but typically, we try to recoup shipping costs for damaged or missing shipments via shipping insurance through USPS, UPS, or DHL first and foremost.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your replacement or refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
